How to pick and shoot selfies that produce the best possible headshots.
Your headshots can only be as good as the photos you give the model. A few minutes choosing the right selfies makes a visible difference.
What makes a good upload
- Variety — different days, outfits, backgrounds, and lighting.
- Recent photos that look like you do today.
- Your face clearly visible, looking toward the camera.
- A mix of expressions — neutral and smiling.
- Good, even lighting (daylight works great).
What to avoid
- Sunglasses, hats, or anything covering your face.
- Other people in the photo.
- Heavy filters, blur, or low resolution.
- All photos taken the same day in the same outfit.
- Extreme angles — very high or very low shots.
Uploading
- Open the upload step in your account.
- Drag in or select at least 8 photos (10–15 is best).
- Review the thumbnails and remove any that are blurry or off.
- Confirm to send them for processing.
More good photos beats fewer perfect ones. If you are unsure about a photo, include it — the model handles variety well.
